Founding circle · By invitation only

A dad who works this hard to provideshouldn't leave his family unprotected.

If you died or couldn't work tomorrow, would your family be okay? I help busy dads make sure the answer is yes.

It isn't for every dad. Membership is by invitation, and every invitation starts with a 15-minute call with me to see if it's a fit.

The one thing that isn't handled

You've handled the career, the income and the life. Except this.

"I know I should. I just haven't."

It's a quiet weight. You'd never leave your family exposed on purpose. But every next step looks like a week of research you don't have, so it slides to "next month, when things calm down." Things never calm down.

  • Nobody knows if your family would have enough.
  • If an injury keeps you from work, the paycheck stops.
  • No guardians are named, so a judge decides who raises your kids.
  • Your wife hunts through your email for policy numbers.

How I help

Three gaps. I help you close them, then keep them closed.

If you're gone

Your family has enough

What your family would need, worked out from your income and your debts, with the math shown. Then cover that matches it.

From: "Is the policy through work enough?"To: a number, and cover that matches it
If you can't work

The money keeps coming

Your future earnings are your biggest asset. If an illness or injury kept you from working, your family's income wouldn't stop.

From: a group plan you've never readTo: income protected if you can't work
If the kids need a guardian

You've chosen, in writing

The people you trust named to raise your kids, signed the right way, and a plan for who handles what.

From: the state decidesTo: you decide, and it's in writing

Atlas keeps it moving

An executive assistant for your shield. It tells you the next step, gets the paperwork ready, and reminds you until it's done.

One vault your family can find

Every policy and your will in one encrypted place, so your wife or your executor knows where everything is.

Who gets in

Not every dad gets in. That's the point.

  • You're the provider. Your family runs on your income.
  • You earn well, and most of your wealth is still ahead of you.
  • You take protecting your family seriously, and you'll do the work once the path is clear.
  • You'll stand guard for those who can't. A share of every membership fights child trafficking.
  • You want to be around men who hold the same standard.

The founding circle is limited to 50 dads. I talk with every one of them first.

Answer three quick questions and pick a time. It takes a minute.

  2. 2

    Fifteen minutes with me

You tell me where your shield stands. I tell you your biggest gaps and whether the circle is the right fit.

  3. 3

    Your invitation

If it's a fit, you get a private link and your plan starts that day. If it isn't, I'll tell you straight and point you to what fits better.

Why I built this

I was that dad.

"I had a good policy through Ladder and nothing else, because every next step looked like a week of research I didn't have."

I've spent my career valuing assets: as a national bank examiner, as Chief Investment Officer of SEC-registered wealth firms, and as a CFA charterholder. The asset most young families never value is the paycheck. So I built the plan I wanted for my own family, and I'm opening it to a small circle of dads like me.

I don't sell insurance. You pay me to make sure it gets done.
Request your fit call

Fifteen minutes. You and me.

We'll look at what you have in place and what your income means for your family. You'll leave knowing your biggest gaps, whether or not you join.

Education and accountability, not financial, investment or insurance advice. The Legacy Dad is not an insurance agent, broker, attorney or investment adviser, and receives no compensation from any provider.

Before you book

Fair questions.

Why is it invitation only?

Because the circle works best when every member is the same kind of dad and holds the same standard. The call lets me check that, and lets you check me.

What does membership cost?

We'll talk about it on the call, once I know whether it fits your family. There's no commitment until you say yes.

What if I'm not a fit?

I'll tell you on the call. You'll still leave knowing your biggest gaps, and I'll point you to our self-guided Shield app if it suits you better.

Will you try to sell me insurance?

No. I don't sell insurance, wills or investments, and I take no commissions or referral fees from anyone. You buy cover from whoever you choose.
